Artist Statement
Enso (Circle) Series

The circle is all mighty and encompassing.  It represents the origin, the source of the human mind and of Yaiji the ultimate.  It is a formless reality and most importantly, deals with the concept of oneness and the beginning of creation.  The ultimate is the great void, a state of nothingness: the original state of nonbeing.

In the Taoist principles breaking the full circle - the ultimate by even the slightest crack, turns the image into a visual unit of talismanic (symbols that emanate protective light and energy) practice. I deal with enso the circle, in my paintings and they are talismanic in nature guided by my spiritual intuitive sense.
